It’s not news that this global pandemic has changed the way we all do business. With more online shopping and limited accessibility to view items in real life, it’s easy to click “buy now”, cross your fingers and hope for the best. But when it comes to tiling your home, this is a risk not worth taking.

Here in WA we have been lucky, in that we can get about more freely to view products and make informed decisions.  Though this has opened another can of worms, supply vs. demand. Shipping from Europe used to be a 6 – 8 week turnaround.  With COVID and reduced shipping routes, we are now waiting anywhere from 10 – 16 weeks, sometimes our tracking updates only read, TBA.

With a surge in new builds, commercial developments and reno’s in Perth, we are finding that a container arrives only to go back out to pre allocated jobs immediately. So what does this mean for you and your upcoming build? I recommend that from the moment you have your plans, start looking for your tiles, this way there is ample time to arrange samples, we can liaise with our factories in Europe and we can ensure that the batch is allocated for you upon arrival.  A deposit will be required on custom orders, but it’s a small price to pay to secure the look you’re after.
